Greetings Quashnet Families,

I am happy to say that all after school offerings are set and ready to go.  Please click on the link below to see the offerings and complete the sign-up form.  Be sure to hit submit before you leave the page. There will be hard copies of the sign-up form available in the office should you need it, or you can request one to be sent home with your child.  All clubs will begin the week of September 21st.  A confirmation will be sent home with your child.  Space is limited, but we will do our best to support at least one club per student. This sign up does not include participation in the soccer intramural program which meets this Tuesday and Thursday.  As always, call, email, or stop in should you have any questions.

Other important happenings this week include:

Monday, Sept. 14 - Boys and Girls Club reopens

Tuesday, Sept. 15 - First day for the late bus - any change in regular dismissal procedure requires a note from home - please!

THURSDAY, Sept. 17 - OPEN HOUSE  6:00 - 7:30

Friday, Sept. 18 - PTO sponsored Welcome Back Barbecue  5:00 - 7:00 PM

The Quashnet staff and I are looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday night at Open House and again on Friday for the BBQ!  As a special bonus, Principal Balestracci and Athletic Director Triveri are welcoming ALL Quashnet and KCC students into the Mashpee High School football game free of charge!  Be sure to come out and support the Mashpee High School Falcons take on the Falmouth Clippers.  It is sure to be a great game!  There will be a $7 fee for adults at the gate.  Show your FALCON PRIDE!

One more thing to consider - on Sunday, September 20, Mr. Rumberger, our World Languages department head and Language Enrichment teacher will be participating in the Last Gasp bike ride from Sandwich to Provincetown to raise money for Calmer Choice, which  provides Mindfulness training in our school. Please consider supporting his ride and Calmer Choices work with our students, teaching them stress management and conflict resolution techniques, and helping them develop inner strength and avoid destructive choices as they grow older.   Most importantly, all of the money Mr. Rumberger raises will go directly to support Calmer Choices work at Quashnet School, with our own students.

Respectfully,
