QS Parent Survey

All parents, please take 5-10 minutes to complete the district's parent survey. Your feedback/perceptions are very important to us, allowing us to not only monitor growth from year to year but also to inform and adjust our work regarding our 4-year Plan for Success. All participants will be eligible to win a $100 Amazon gift card provided by the MPS Boosters Club. Please reach out if you have any questions.

QS Student Survey

Fifth and sixth-grade students will be asked to fill out the student version of the survey this week, which is different from the parent survey. Grade levels will meet in the cafeteria so all students have an opportunity to fill out the survey.

Fifth Grade Field Trip to Boston Museum of Science

We are excited that our entire Fifth Grade is heading to the Boston Museum of Science this week on Wednesday, March 6. Students should plan to follow their normal arrival and dismissal plans for school that day. Please do not be late on Wednesday, and make sure your permission slips have been turned in to your homeroom teachers no later than tomorrow, Monday.

Read Across America Week this Week!

This week, March 4-8, is Read Across America week. Many of you probably know that this is a celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday. Over the years, the focus has changed to be about diverse books and all the ways that reading is part of our lives. Last year we had a single spirit day of reading my shirt and reading in the hallways at the same time.  

This year we are going to celebrate all week with a theme each day (see below) and on Friday at 3:00 for 20 minutes we will line the hallways to "Read Across Quashnet". Thank you so much for your help and support.

A Successful STEAM Night

I'd like to thank all the families that attended STEAM night. We had many students attend with family members. There are plenty of great pictures in the blog photos tab for this year, including all the pictures students took in front of the green screen. You can also click here to view the pictures.

MMHS Counselor Visit

This past Friday, MMHS school counselors visited all our 6th-grade classes to begin discussing with students their schedules and interests for next year in 7th grade. Each 6th-grade student brought home a green sheet that needs to be signed by their parent and returned to their homeroom teacher by this Wednesday, March 6. If you have any questions please reach out to Ms. Ferreira, the Grades 7-9 guidance counselor, at jferreira@mpspk12.org, in the Mashpee Middle High School guidance office.
