STEAM NIGHT is this Week!

We hope to see as many students and families as possible this Thursday evening, February 29, 2024 for STEAM Night at the Quashnet School! STEAM Night has traditionally been our most well-attended evening event of the school year, so we are really looking forward to this Thursday. The event runs from 5:30pm-7:00pm and includes several exciting activities run by volunteers from our community and staff members. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, and all the activities are tied to at least one of these categories.

Some of the stations this year include, Marshmellow Shooters, Robotics, Rocket Launching, and Virtual Reality goggles to name a few. There will be over 30 stations for students and families to experience. I hope to see you all there!

Robotics Teams

Two Saturdays ago, a skills-only event was attended by two of our Robotics teams in Hopkinton. It was another chance for teams to earn skills points as they tried to qualify for the next level. Our 6th grade team 2649E did it! Good luck to Avery, Cameron, Grant, and Jesse as they travel to Medway on March 2 to compete in the Southern New England regional championship!

Jacek and CJ on team 2649C had a strong showing with their skill points and improved with every match! We are so proud of all six Quashnet teams for their hard work, great engineering, and Falcon 5 effort throughout the robotics season!
