Half Day for Students

Thursday, this week, October 19 is a half day for students. Dismissal is at 12:30. Please plan accordingly for dismissal plans and child care for that afternoon.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

The reason for the half day this week is for parent-teacher conferences. Included below is the link to sign up for conferences. Many of you have signed up for conferences with your child's homeroom teacher already. Something else to consider is signing up for a conference with a service provider your child might see in another part of their day. These include, but are not limited to, School Adjustment Counselors, English Learner Teachers, and Special Educators. If your child works with one of the aforementioned staff members, I strongly encourage you to have a conference for them as well. These adults are crucial for your child's growth, development, and educational experience.

Some other things to consider when determining who to meet with might, be meeting with a music teacher if your child plays an instrument or another Special Subject Teacher where your child has a particular interest, for example STEAM for Robotics, or Art.

Book Fair Starting this Week

The book fair starts this week on Thursday, October 19, and takes place in the library. Your child will have the opportunity to visit the book fair during Library Class or Health Class, depending on grade level. The book fair will also be open for adults to visit during the afternoon and evening of parent-teacher conferences on Thursday.

Coats, Food, and School Supplies Available for All

I'll add as well that these coats in particular are awesome and all were donated brand new. I encourage you to reach out to a counselor and get your child fitted for winter. If you came to the Open House you may have seen these coats on racks outside the main office.

It’s GREAT to be in MASHPEE,

A Connected Community.
