Dear Quashnet School Community,
Day two of parent/teacher conferences continues on Tuesday, October 25, an early release day for students. Student dismissal is 12:30 PM. If you have not scheduled your conference yet, there is still time - just use this link https://myconferencetime.com/mashpee. If you have any trouble with the link, call the Quashnet office at 508-539-1550 and we are happy to help!
2022 MCAS scores were sent home to families last week. Have you received them yet? If not, please be sure that we have your accurate mailing address. This link will help you understand your child's results https://www.doe.mass.edu/mcas/parents/default.html. Mr. Kerhl and I are more than happy to assist - just give us a call or stop in.
Spring 2023 testing dates will be shared soon. All Quashnet students will participate in ELA and Math testing, Grade 5 only will take a third assessment on Science and Technology/Engineering.
Congratulations to our beloved Mrs. Cheryl Macintire on her upcoming retirement from Mashpee Public Schools on Friday, 10/28/22. Mrs. MacIntire has worked for the district for 28 years starting as a recess monitor, then as a volunteer coordinator, and spending the majority of her career in the front office of Quashnet School. Mrs. MacIntire's kindness, organization, and sense of humor set a tone in the office that made it not only efficient but very welcoming. She will be missed terribly, but we are all so happy for her as she starts her next chapter.
Mrs. Kate Milde will be moving into the role of executive administrative assistant. Congratulations Mrs. Milde, there isn't a better fit for this position!

Our fabulous K-Kids are at it again! They are collecting Halloween candy for the troops. There is a collection bin in the front lobby of the school for donations.
On the photo tab above you will see pictures from a recent Grade 6 field trip to Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (WBNERR). Students were naturalists for the day making discoveries and learning about the estuary and its fragile environment. Recognizing our natural resources and how to preserve them is an important learning opportunity for all.
