Dear Quashnet School Community,
Even though there are only 8 1/2 school days left in our 14-15 school year, there are still many learning goals yet to be accomplished and learning activities yet to be experienced. We are working hard to maintain as normal a schedule as possible in order to maximize learning. Please remind your children that school must remain their top priority.
Last Friday's Field Day was an outstanding event for our students. Thank you to Mr. Morris for all his work on this project. Thank you also to the many parent volunteers and student volunteers from MMHS whose support at this event provided our students with a positive and fun experience.
Last Saturday's Quashnet PTO Falcon 5K Color-Run was a blast! Thank you to PTO President Amy Rullo for her above-and-beyond effort to bring this wonderful experience to our students and their families. Everyone had so much fun. Great people having fun together = a great day. Monies raised from this event are being used to purchase and install a Fitness Trail on the Quashnet School campus. Thank you to our many parent volunteers, staff volunteers, corporate sponsors, and to our Mashpee community for their support of this event.
Please plan to attend Tuesday night's annual Quashnet School Talent Show. The show begins at 6:00 PM at the MMHS auditorium. This is a not-to-be-missed event!
The annual MPS Volunteer Breakfast will take place in the Quashnet library at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 18th. This is the District's opportunity to show its gratitude to the many volunteers who enrich our schools and the experiences of our students. We hope that all of our volunteers are able to attend.
Last Thursday night's choral concert was fabulous--such a treat! Our fourth, fifth, and sixth grade singers not only demonstrated their talent but also all the hard work they put into preparing for the event. It is so wonderful to see so many students participating in the program. Thank you to music teachers Mrs. Hill and Ms. Sherman for guiding these students to excellence.
Because there are so many pictures to add to this week's album the uploading is taking a while. Two albums will be posted soon--one titled "Week Ending 6-13-15" and the other "2015 Color Run."
All third graders should have received an email from Mrs. Hill regarding fourth grade music choices (chorus, band, strings). Included here is the link to our online sign-up form:
Forms needs to be completed by June 22, 2016.
With Gratitude,
Patty DeBoer
