Dear Quashnet School Community,
It is very important that everyone makes the most of their April vacation.  Relax, read, and enjoy extra time with family and friends.  Value all the moments in every day.  It is also a good time to reassess hopes and dreams for this school year.  When we return from our April vacation we will be entering the "home-stretch" for school year 14-15.  What goals did you set for yourself back in September?  What growth have you made so far?  Every minute of available learning time is very valuable.  In order to maximize every learning moment, students need to "be present."  Being "present" means more than just being at school every day.  Students who are focused on academic growth arrive to school on time and stay until at least 2:45 PM each day.  They arrive at school rested and ready to give their best effort to their school work.  School should not be a place where students rest and recover from outside-of-school activities.  School learning needs to be the absolute priority for every student and their family.  The knowledge and skills learned at each grade level add to a foundation of learning that will result in goal achievement in future years.  Successful learning is not a passive activity.  Teachers instruct, model, guide, and motivate, but students must take ownership of their own learning.  Ownership is demonstrated through effort.  Remember our growth mindset--WITH TIME AND EFFORT, I CAN IMPROVE.

A special THANK YOU to Mrs. MacIntire, Mrs. Pagano, and Mrs. Emery for always going above and beyond to help our students, their families, and our staff.  Wednesday, 4/22, is Administrative Professionals' Day.  I am so grateful to these three individuals.  They are the absolute best!!
