Dear Quashnet School Community,
Thank you to our hard-working and dedicated students for their efforts with the PARCC testing.  All grades have now completed the Performance-Based Assessment in PARCC.  We are very grateful for the Chrome books that were made available to us for this online assessment.  Our PARCC team was outstanding--providing technical support to teachers and students during the testing process.  Mrs. Arsenault's third graders, Mrs. Stickley's fourth graders, Mrs. Blount's fifth graders, Mrs. Geggatt's sixth graders, and Ms. O'Brien's sixth graders all had perfect attendance during their five days of PARCC testing.  These students each received a coupon for a free snack from the cafeteria.  The grade level with the best attendance overall during their PARCC testing was third grade.  They will have a 45-minute additional recess on a day to be determined.
Please join us on Tuesday night for our first STEM NIGHT from 6 - 7:30 PM.  This will be a wonderful hands-on learning opportunity for students and their families.  Like our annual Math Night, our STEM event will be filled with great learning and fun.  We hope everyone is able to attend.
Term 2 Student Recognition Awards will be given out on Wednesday during each grade's lunch:  Academic Excellence, Perfect Attendance, Special Subjects, and Good Egg.  As always, parents are invited to join their child for lunch.
