Dear Quashnet School Community and Grade 2 families,
Happy Memorial Day!
"Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings, and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season." Congratulations to Ms. Annessi and the Quashnet School Theatre Guild, on their outstanding performance of Peter Pan last Thursday evening. It was a real crowd pleaser!
Thank you to Mrs. MacIntire and all of our wonderful volunteers who helped make the return of Career Day a great success! It is meaningful exposure for students to hear about careers they may not have been aware of before or understood. Check out the photos by clicking the tab above.
What an emotional week as we welcomed several graduating seniors to Quashnet School who recognized their former teachers for significantly impacting them as individuals. Congratulations to Mrs. McBrien, Mrs. Geggatt, Mrs. Whiddon, Mrs. Schreiner, Mr. O'Connor, Mr. Souza, Mr. Bedard, and retirees Mrs. McKay, Mrs. McCue, Mrs. Manning, Ms. Louf, and Mrs. Weston.
Teachers and staff have a lasting impact on students, and to know their hard work is recognized is so meaningful.

BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, BE READY, AND BE CARING
Following these essential traits help keep us safe at school and provide a productive learning environment. Summer vacation does not begin until ALL students are home and off the buses on June 23.
Respectfully,
Principal O'Brien
Let's go Celtics!
