Dear Quashnet School Community,
Quashnet School was the recipient of a recent fundraiser sponsored by the Southport Falcons.
Lori LaBrecque delivered a check this week for over $300 to Mrs. Pons, QS librarian, specifically to add new books to our library. We are so appreciative of our community partners at Southport and this generous offer that will support all students at Quashnet School.
Thank you Southport Falcons!

BE SAFE, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Ready, Be Caring
As I shared last week, as a school community, we are highlighting each one of the Falcon Five traits individually over a period of time. Our first focus trait is to Be Safe. There are many ways we demonstrate safety in our school. This includes the ability to: practice self-control and good listening, use items as intended, report unsafe behavior, and conduct yourself in a safe manner at all times. Wearing a mask appropriately is another way to be safe.
I have a HUGE shout-out to both Mr. O'Connor's class and Mr. Bedard's class. While visiting classrooms this week and observing in the hallways, every student in these two classes had their masks on properly to cover both their nose and mouth. Way to Be Safe for yourself and others! Thank you.
Masks do continue to be a challenge for many. As it gets colder and windows start to close, please reinforce with your child how important it is to wear a mask correctly. Teachers are providing masks break regularly, but when inside - please mask up!
REMINDER: Every student should have two masks with them in school. One they are wearing and an extra in their backpack. Although we do have some at school, our supplies are running low. Your cooperation and support are truly appreciated.
Jiji is on a mission to get us moving with problem-solving and mathematical thinking skills.
