School CancellationsIf a school day is cancelled due to poor weather, the following school day will be the missed day in our 6-Day cycle.

 Dear Quashnet School Community,
Always click on the "This Week" tab above to be informed about the current week's schedule.
I hope that everyone enjoyed the long weekend.  We are very grateful for the professional day provided to our teachers on Friday.  The morning presentations and workshops were outstanding, and the time spent working together on curriculum in the afternoon was very valuable.  Sunday's Patriots game was another excellent event with an outcome that has put the New England region in a very positive mood.  The Patriots definitely have demonstrated a "growth mindset" throughout this season--working hard every day to become more knowledgeable and skilled than they were the previous day.  One focused step at a time (with best effort) leads to the accomplishment of goals.  Finally, I hope that everyone was able to take some time to think about and honor the accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  He was a leader who was able to make our world a better place.  We all need to ask ourselves how we can make our school, our community, and our world a better place.  Be kind and value others.  Notice all the little things that make your world wonderful.  Also think about the little things you can do to make another person's world brighter and better--and do them!
Last Wednesday's instrumental concert was outstanding.  Our program is 170 musicians strong.  Thank you, Mashpee, for always supporting the Quashnet School music program.

Be mindful and make the most of every moment of every day.  Smile as often as you can.  Let those around you know how much you value their being in your life.  Read and learn something new every day.  Be your very best you!
With Gratitude,
Patty DeBoer
