CALLING ALL EMPTY WATER BOTTLESPlease save your empty water bottles. Mrs. Blount is leading a project to build a greenhouse at the Quashnet School using the bottles. Quite a few bottles are needed, and we are hopeful that all families will be able to donate. Please bring your saved empty plastic water bottles to our upcoming Math Night on Thursday, February 27th. Your support is very much appreciated.
The month of February is officially designated as Black History Month by the U.S. Congress. What began as a one-week celebration of the contributions of African-Americans to U.S. History evolved into a month-long celebration to highlight the people and events of Black history in the U.S. and around the world. Learn about the amazing contributions of African American writers, poets, inventors, politicians, educators, doctors, scientists, and entertainers. Also learn about the remarkable acts of bravery and courage of everyday African Americans throughout history. A great site to visit is: http://www.history.com/topics/black-history-month
