Happy New Year Quashnet Community!
Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2023!
Monday, January 2, the school will be closed in observance of New Year's day. We are looking forward to welcoming students back to school on Tuesday, January 3.
Congratulations to the Quashnet School theatre group on their successful and enjoyable performances of Alice in Wonderland. Be sure to see some of the pictures on the photo tab above. Thank you to Ms. Annessi, fifth-grade teacher, for her dedication and leadership of the theatre group.
The Student Council took the lead the week before the break to sponsor Spirit Week. We showed our Falcon pride, had many twins and triplets, mix-matched outfits, and red and green outfits. Check out the photos on the photo tab above.

The PTO fundraiser Falcon Bucks was a great success! Thank you to all families and friends who supported this drive. The final winners were:
Dec. 19 - Patricia Gauvin
Dec. 20 - Michele Burd
Dec. 21 - Daniel & Danica Venre
Dec. 22 - Dana Mederos
Assistant Principal Lilly Riker and Principal Landon Rebello enjoyed their special day as acting building administrators. This recognition went to the top two sellers of Falcon Bucks tickets. Thank you, PTO for facilitating such a fun experience.
This dynamic duo also selected the winners of the gift basket donations from the pasta dinner night and during the play. Isabelle Girotti, Faith Watkins, and sixth-grade teacher Ms. Bacarro were the big winners. Thank you Ms. Baccaro for paying it forward and selecting another winner for the gift card Christmas tree. The gift baskets were all donated by the Quashnet staff to benefit the Falcon Family Fund. :-)
Have you talked to your child about their goals and school intentions for the new year? Goals are important and can help to monitor growth and achievement. Reading each night, practicing math facts regularly, completing homework and turning it in, showing gratitude every day, and reducing time on electronics are some suggestions that can help get the new year off to a good start!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season with time to enjoy your family and friends. We are ready to make 2023 the best it can be!
With gratitude,
Principal O'Brien
