Dear Quashnet School Community &
Grade 2 Families,
Thank you, Rachael Coscia, Amber Smith, and the QS/KCC PTO boards, for sponsoring a great family event last Friday night.

The kickball game was great fun and yes, Team Quashnet was victorious!
Thank you both teams for coming out to play - MPS families are the real winners here!
Last Monday, was the annual Staff vs Student Floor Hockey Game at Quashnet. This is one of those memorable events for all. The gym was rocking with chants for teachers and students alike. Mr. Williams coached his team of sixth-graders well, but those teachers are a tough group to beat. The main objective, have fun, show school pride, and be a good sport no matter what. Great job everyone!

SUMMER READING
To get started on summer reading, Quashnet kids have been diving into the reading pool in the front lobby. Thank you, Mrs. Pons, for putting books in each student's hands!
If books are needed over the summer, be sure to visit the Little Free Library stations around town - assembled by QS students and DPW in STEM class a few years ago. A great project designed by Mrs. Whiddon.

Below are some additional ideas to prevent the summer slide in learning.
Learning is FUN!
Internet Safety FYI
As you know, it is extremely important to monitor your child(ren)'s internet activity. At school, we have a filter that helps us monitor activity and limit access to different sites. We have discovered a site called GENERAL MATHEMATICS which allows individuals full access to internet searches by bypassing filters. This site has been blocked on all school devices.
Please be aware of internet safety and monitor social media regularly throughout the summer and always.
This is the last full week of the school year. Let's make it a great one!
Respectfully,
Principal O'Brien
